Burning Gingerbread Houses

I was invited this year to attend a very special Christmas party. This party is an annual event where everyone builds and decorates gingerbread houses. In the last couple years they have capped the event off with the burning of a couple of the houses. Below are my stills of the burning portion of the event. Some of these people created marvelous, intricately decorated houses, but you see any of those here - just the burning ones.

As an experiment instead of just dumping gas on the houses, we loaded them with fireworks and then doused them with gas. I'm not terribly happy with the action shots, but then this wasn't an easy shoot.

I had a great time! Looking forward to next year...
